Bike boxes are coming to Minneapolis!
This is fantastic! I posted about bike boxes almost a year ago. Already common in bike-friendly cities like Portland, bike boxes are going to be a welcome addition to roads here.
Ours are green and I like them (especially the one on SW Madison) but most cars dont know how to use them.
We need these, but we’re never going to get them because nobody in this town knows how to ride a bike responsibly in traffic. This results in cyclists just not being taken seriously at all, which resuts further in drivers being assholes, which results again in people doing things like riding on the sidewalk, which further shoots cyclist credibility right in the foot.
